Time[]

Each day is split into four periods:

Period Duration
Morning 04:00 - 06:00 (4 am - 6 am)
Day 06:00 - 18:00 (6 am - 6 pm)
Dusk 18:00 - 20:00 (6 pm - 8 pm)
Night 20:00 - 04:00 (8 pm - 4 am)

Certain fish, creatures and monsters can only be caught during the day or during the night. "Day" fish can be caught at any time from the morning to the evening (04:00 to 20:00), whereas "night" fish can only be caught when it is night in the game (20:00 to 04:00). Certain monsters such as Bessie and Kraken are more likely to be caught in the morning or evening (but it is still possible to catch them at other times).

A limited number of fish, creatures, trash, and monsters can be caught each day. Once a player reaches this limit (usually around 20 per item), it becomes much harder and time-consuming to catch more of the target. The "day" resets at 04:00, corresponding to the player's local time, and the waters are "restocked" with fresh fish and items. New daily quests also become available at this time, and monsters move to their new favourite locations.

The in-game time is the same as the local time of the player. However, if the player is in a country or region that observes Daylight Savings Time, then these timings may be offset by one hour when the clocks change in that region. Additionally, if the player travels to a different time zone, in-game timings may not be updated and may continue to follow the original time zone.

Seasons[]

All species of fish, creatures and monster have specific times of the year during which they are more active. When a fish is in season, it is possible to catch very large (i.e. higher stars) fish. However, when a fish is out of season, the size of the fish is limited to 20% of their maximum weight (i.e. 1 star), and it is not possible to catch larger fish.

A full list of the seasons during which fish, creatures and monsters are active can be visualized through the interactive maps below:

Paradise Island[]

All Paradise Island fish and creatures, as well as Shredder, are active throughout the year.
