Saving Halloween is a seasonal event during which players can complete a series of quests offered by Pumpkin Pete and earn gems 
as well as several Halloween-themed cosmetics for their avatars. During this event, several spooky and pumpkin-themed decorations appear on the Home Island, and it is also haunted by a ghost during the night!
In 2023, this event started on October 22 and ended on November 1.

A floating pumpkin in Great Lakes
During the Halloween event, Pumpkin Pete appears on the Home Island in a pumpkin-shaped hot air balloon, and asks the player to collect several pumpkins that fell out of his balloon during a storm. Pumpkins can be found floating on the water or can be fished out of the sea in any destination. Up to 5 floating pumpkins can be collected from each destination per day, although it requires two trips to collect all 5, and thus a maximum of 25 floating pumpkins can be collected daily. It is also possible to fish pumpkins out of the water, however, these are much harder to find.
In total, 230 pumpkins are required to earn the final reward, the Spooky Helper badge. After completion of the final quest, Pumpkin Pete disappears from the Home Island.
