The Mysterious Pond is a curious structure that was added to the Home Island in patch 1.84 in September 2023. Reportedly "unearthed by oceanic winds", the pond is surrounded by rocks with two triangles, two diamonds, two pentagons, and two hexagons etched into them.
Following patch 1.88 in October 2023, new items (crystals) were added to the game. Players can acquire crystals by visiting each destination - if they have completed the main quest in a destination that involves catching the local monster, the main quest giver reappears in that zone and presents a crystal to the player. Players can then slot the crystals into the markings surrounding the Pond, which then appear to float above the rocks.
It is not always possible to interact with the Mysterious Pond any more after the crystals have been slotted, however, if the player uses their boat on the Home Island via the pier and then returns to the island, then the Mysterious Pond can be interacted with again.
Update 3.07 in November 2025 added the eighth crystal to the game after catching the monster in Amazon. This update also brought the addition of the DNA Lab which is unlocked after placing all 8 crystals around the Mysterious Pond.

DNA Lab[]
Entrance to DNA Lab on Home Island
After collecting all 8 crystals and placing them around the Mysterious Pond in Home Island, a cave will open under the Home Island waterfall which will take you to the DNA Lab. You must also have at least 1,000 karma points in addition to placing all 8 crystals for the cave to open.
