Jack Trimble-Lake is the main quest giver in Great Lakes, and can be found wearing a live fox as a hat.

Jack introduces the player to the local legend that is Bessie, and requests the player to catch certain fish and items before telling the player to try catching Bessie. After the player returns to Jack with Bessie, Jack rewards the player with the Bessie badge. Completing the final quest also unlocks the "Keeper of Lake Secrets" achievement on Android and iOS.
After having completed the Bessie quest, Jack also rewards the player with the Secret Crystal, which can be added to the Mysterious Pond on the Home Island.
Jack also makes a brief appearance in Scotland, where he comments on the similarities between Bessie and Nessie (the monster found in Scotland). He can be found standing on the southeastern pier of Fishers' Castle.
