Creatures of the Deep celebrated its first anniversary on 11 November 2023. During this event, the Home Island was redecorated with several balloons and a large cake, and several characters from the first five destinations visited the Home Island for the birthday celebrations.

Join us in celebrating the game's very first year! We wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you for being a part of this incredible journey beneath the waves. Time has flown by, but rest assured, this is just the beginning of a grand adventure!

Creatures of the Deep Anniversary Celebration
Anniversary party and fireworks
Several characters visited the player's Home Island during the Anniversary event. The characters could be seen running around and exploring the Home Island and could be interacted with.
A new character, the DJ, was also added during this event. Upon interacting with the DJ, a party version of the song "Drunken Sailor" would start playing, and all the characters assembled in two rows in front of the cake and started to dance. If the player ran near the second row of characters, they stopped dancing and formed a conga line behind the player. At the end of the song, a giant firework was released from the cake and a large amount of confetti fell on the island and into the water.
